The Sindh government has finally issued a statement saying that amount of e-challan fines in Karachi will not be lessened. E-Challan Fines Not Being Reduced

Nasir Hussain Shah said that no such idea is under consideration at present to reduce the fines. Quite to the contrary, the charisma of local institutions and attitudes of public respect for traffic safety are what should be developed by the safeguarding function. He said the only way to prevent road accident casualties is by enforcing traffic laws.

  • Improve road safety
  • Reduce traffic congestion
  • Promote responsible driving behavior

Focus on Better Urban Management

The decision reflects the government’s resolve to make a more organized and well-regulated Karachi. Through the retained e-challan penalties, the authorities aim to incentivise traffic laws abidance by residents, which will in turn help in driving better traffic control and safer roads.
